Should Arsenal renew their interest in this forward in January?

Fernando LlorenteWe all wanted to see a new striker come in this summer. It never happened and there is not a lot we can do about it until January now…unless of course we sign one a free!

But Fernando Llorente could be an option for Arsenal to consider this January, with the Spaniard currently behind Carlos Tevez and Marko Vucinic in the pecking order at Juventus.

The 28-year-old forward joined the Serie A side on a free in July from Athletic Bilbao, but has struggled to adapt to life in Italy.

Arsenal, along with Spurs and Chelsea, attempted to sign Llorente from Bilbao before the 6’5’’ striker penned a pre-contract agreement with Juventus.

Arsene Wenger tried to sign a striker in the summer but was unsuccessful. And it is thought the Frenchman will try once again to land a quality forward in the New Year, with Karim Benzema, Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney all on his list.

But if all three of the abovementioned names are unattainable or not for sale, then perhaps Wenger should consider a move for Llorente – maybe a temporary one?

So far this season, Llorente has played just 11 minutes of Serie A football for Juve.

llorente is basically as good as bendtner, hence he is getting similar opportunities at juventus as bendtner did.

for me we may as well stick with bendtner, rather than go for llorente, if we are going for an upgrade the player should be better than giroud not just better than park.
as I see this is our striking options in order
    1. giroud
    2. podolski (injured)
    3. walcott
    4. bendtner (unfit)
    5. park (unfit)
    6. sanogo (injured)
    7. akpom
    8. afobe (injured)
    9. lipman
