Should Arsenal go back in with a £40M bid for this man?

|

Luis SuarezLuis Suarez wants to leave Liverpool. This is a fact. We are to believe that the 26-year-old wants to depart Anfield and leave England all together because of the criticism he has been receiving from the national press since signing for the Merseyside club from Ajax two years ago. But it seems this does not seem to be the case at all.

His agent Pere Guardiola newly admitted that the main reason for the Uruguayan wanting to quit Liverpool was to pursue Champions League football.

The Gunners reportedly tabled a £30 million offer for Suarez’s services earlier in the week, which was turned down by the Kop outfit, despite the player being flattered by Arsenal’s interest:

‘Is good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal. Friends call me up to ask if I am moving to Chelsea, to which I laugh.

‘There have been no offers yet, but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want.

‘My agent is in charge, he knows what I want. I am resting and relaxed. I am due back in about ten days, on the 21st of July (for the friendly with Melbourne Victory)… a phone call could change everything.’

It is thought Arsenal’s offer was rejected as it fell short of Liverpool’s £40 million valuation for Suarez.

So I ask – should Arsene Wenger and co. table £40 million for the Uruguay international?

To be honest, as much as I think Suarez is a quality player and would suit our football philosophy and style brilliantly, I really don’t think he is worth as much as he is valued at.

£40 million is a huge sum of cash to part with, especially for one player, one that brings controversy as well. To be honest I was surprised when I read we offered £30 million for Suarez – it just doesn’t seem like something our club would do, despite our secure finances and profits.

Liverpool obviously want to keep him and have placed such a huge asking price to scare interested clubs off.

And, as a result, I really don’t think we will see the frugal Wenger offer £40 million for the man who netted 23 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season. And rightly so in my opinion as he is being well overpriced.

£40 million for Suarez?

I’m a Liverpool fan and it baffles me how you think he’s worth less then 30 million ?? You joking me!!! Yeah he might be a controversial little bastard but name a player that is as consist as he is week in and week out with the same quality?? He brings so much to the team

As a Liverpool fan Suarez is one of the top five players in Europe and his value is in competition with other players such as Canani who is valued at 53 million. However he has become a disgrace to Liverpool after what the club and fans have backed him through. Suarez should now leave and Liverpool to just get rid of him for more than 40 million and its been reported that Liverpool have slapped a 45-50 million price tag on his head to scare off competition because that is what he is worth at todays currant market prices. A leopard never changes its spots. nor any team will tame his behaviour so good luck to any team that wants all of the controversy that he will bring. Liverpool always play better when Suarez isnt playing so will not be missed. That is another trait of Suarez greedy never passes. Good riddance if he goes ,if he doesnt then the fans will boo him everytime

I think Suarez is a disgrace and not worthy of wearing the Arsenal shirt although he is a fantastic player. I’m not the boss so if we signed him I would have to accept it but even if he smashes the goals in I can’t see me ever liking him but I will still go to every match and go nuts if he scores. To be honest it would be my worst nightmare but NOTHING will stop me supporting my beloved club

ANYWAY THERE IS NO CHANCE OF IT HAPPENING ANYWAY

Arsenals shirt ain’t fit to wipe Suarez’s arse, and you can’t afford him anyway.

      • Dean says:

        You mong

      • DeanAFC!! says:

But slacking Liverpool are? Can’t offer European football at all let alone champions league lol any way can’t afford him? Our second biggest share holder is the richest man in English football more then Chelsea or man city’s owners but yeah can’t afford him :/ lol do your research

  • okwuchukwu says:

For me luiz is good but the price is up never the less if that will do much in arsenal trouph so be it he (wenger) should go for it

  • Carlos says:

If everyone has a look at the bigger picture- Arsenal want Higuan,Real wont sell Higuan until they have a replacement otherwise they have to pay a premium. So to force the Move for higuan they will start the bidding war to kick Real into action.I honestly can’t see Wenger paying 40m for Suarez then we would of kept RVP and let him go for a free transfer – 40m is too much for great player on he field with too many issues off it ….

  • Connor says:

Don’t sign him his a idiot who shouldn’t play football going round biting people dick head

  • McEsteen says:

    Liverpool= 0.

  • Mozexco says:

Suarez first told the media that he was leaving Liverpool because of the English media .. Saying they don’t like him agreed .. By LFC Now he’s flattered Arsenal want him and want to lev LFC because he want to play champion league don’t u think the English media will go worst on him after going public about their behavior toward him . Anyway it’s not the issues but if Suarez will leave Liverpool they will make sure the got enough of him before letting him go he’s case will be like Tores leaving LFC for Chelsea 45 or 50 million £ will be he’s buyout clause because he has a long term contract with Liverpool and good luck to Arsenal if they can pay that price for one controversial player and ended up not performing the way he did at Liverpool .. Just like Tores to Chelsea .
