Lyon are interested in taking Gervinho back to France this summer, according to reports.
The Ligue 1 outfit are preparing an offer of around £10 million for the 25-year-old who has failed to settle at Arsenal since his summer move from Lille in 2011.
The Ivory Coast international has scored 11 goals in 61 total appearances since arriving at the club and due to his lack of involvement this season has been linked with a move away from The Emirates, with Galatasaray reportedly interested.
The Gunners could well be tempted to sell the forward with the club linked with a number of strikers ahead of the summer transfer window.
£12 million for a forward who has struggled to adapt would be a good deal to consider if Lyon were to table a bid this summer.
Arsene Wenger signed Gervinho for just below £11 million so the Frenchman would pretty much recoup what he spent on the Ivorian two years ago. In addition, Wenger could put the money towards a potential signing this summer.

Gervinho is not as bad as people like to believe, i would keep him as a squad player and give him a chance to realize his potential. There is ample room in the squad for additions i.e. Arshavin and squillachi, Fabianski are surely out, Djourou, bendtner, Chamakh and Santos most likely will leave. Therefore we can easily bring in 3 new players to strengthen the squad without taking the risk of disposing of players who could conceivably add something to us next season.
