Has he won over the Arsenal boo-boys? [have your say]

|

Aaron RamseyAaron Ramsey believes he has won over the Arsenal boo-boys and is ready to push on to the next level, according to several reports.

In recent weeks, the 22-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for The Gunners in his preferred central role while Jack Wilshere was sidelined through injury.

Last season, Ramsey’s performances split opinion among the Arsenal faithful, as he failed to adapt to unfamiliar roles Arsene Wenger deployed him in. However, the Wales international has managed to silence his critics this term and is arguably been one of the club’s better players.

Ramsey broke his leg three years ago, which ruled him out of action for nine months, but the midfielder now believes he is making up for lost time:

‘Last season was frustrating for me. I had a bit of stick, but I was not playing in my main position and had obviously been through a lot.

‘I think people are starting to realise now that I am coming back, looking sharp again – and there is no better feeling than winning people over, proving you are capable of doing a good job and you are a good player.

‘I am confident in myself and think I can push on to the next level now.’

Ramsey has made more appearances this season (44 in total so far) than he did in the last campaign (42), and it seems he’s determined to go from strength to strength which is great to hear.

I have no doubt that Ramsey will get better and better with time, just as long as he continues to play in his preferred role and steers clear of injury.

The Welshman has shown a lot of desire in recent weeks, and his work-rate is absolutely phenomenal. It’s strange to think this was the same Aaron Ramsey everybody was slating week in, week out on Twitter!

Has Ramsey silenced his critics?

Ramsey has been fantastic this season and the idiots the boo are morons and should go support Stoke!

Top player Ramsey who will run and fight for 90mins. We need more players like him with his guts and will to win.

Rubbish, he isn’t good enough, he plays football side to side and backwards, he is a player just like Wilkins use to be, the human crab, when he plays we are stagnant, bench player at the most, and running around for ten mins doesn’t cut it

PaulB, you talk shit. He is always driving the team forward. His only real failing at the moment is that he sometimes tries the hard pass instead of the simple.
Perhaps you should watch Arsenal a bit more without your blinkers on.
I presume you think Diaby and Rosicky (5 good games a season each) are the real deal.

I hate wen we as fans slate our players even wen they play really well. Its just too bad. If ramsey hasn’t played well in d past games in your opinion pls go support Stock city Paulb!!..Ramsey is helping Arsenal fight to secure a top 4 position, if he isn’t playing well we won’t be challenging at all.. So as an Arsenal fan support him or shut d f*ck up!!! Is it his fault dat he got shawcrossed? I guess u can’t kick a ball 2 knw d importance of confidence and wat staying away from football can do to your confidence..

paulb – you are obviously not a statician nor a football coach. ramsey is the best tackler and now the best passer at the club. now he is in his rightful position it is more likely to be arteta that gets pushed out rather than rambo. i can see jack and rambo making a new partnership one day, possibly alongside a powerful dm in a new 4312 formation, with cazorla sitting just ahead of them until chamberlain eventually takes over from him. For me its just a shame that coquelin or frimpong wasnt 4 or 5 inches taller, cos that really would be an awesome young midfield for the future. For now i would be replacing denilson and diaby with a powerful holding player then replace arshavin and rosicky with a technical attacking midfielder. on the flanks i would bring in ryo and campbell to replace gervinho. replace chamakh and bendtner with a powerful centre forward.

“you are obviously not a statician nor a football coach”. neither am I bc but I have watched the Arsenal play for a very long time. if Ramsey is so good why do I constantly see him pass to the opposition, pass to some imaginary player that’s over the touchline or best of all pass to a team mate that has opposition all around him, in rugby they term it the hospital pass. Pass stats are misleading Ramsey passes sideways or back very very rarely will he pass forward. For drive think Rosicky, when Ramsey can drive a team like Rosicky then I’ll believe we have a decent player, right now his mistakes cost us and he slows the game down, he’s mediocre at best.

Pls, I knw 4 d past 5 game Ramsey hasn’t been passing wrongly nor slowing down attacks, stop all this hating. He has done really well IMO. Passed better, moved d ball quicker n tackled better. Shut up n support our players plssssss… If u want a DM wait till summer, 4 nw support Ramsey! Plus I can bet we r noy goin 2 buy a DM.. We mit add a defender and a striker but no DM..

Ramsey doesn’t really add anything to the game. Sure he has an engine on him but what good is all the running if it’s not productive? Ramsey pretty much sums up Arsenal in a nutshell – inefficient. I don’t think he’s a bad player but at the same time he’s not that good either – average. He has time on his side for sure but how long are we willing to wait because his leg injury cannot be an excuse anymore, that horse got beaten to death over 2 years ago.
