Who’d be in your Arsenal XI to take on Everton tomorrow night?

|

Arsenal We managed to pick up all three points on Saturday afternoon against Norwich, despite all the controversy which surrounded that victory. Hey, they can complain and talk about the penalty incident, and third goal being offside until the cows come home but at the end of the day we sit third and are looking good to finish in the top four this season.

We only have six games left to play and next on our list is Everton, a side who are also fighting to qualify for the Champions League.

David Moyes’ side sit sixth in the table, four points behind us with the same amount of games left to play. Needless to say, this is a massive game for both clubs. If we bag all three points tomorrow night then we need not worry about Everton catching us. However, should The Toffees spring a surprise and beat us then we could well be in a pickle and many, including myself, will start to worry about our chances of finishing in the top four.

We have been in scintillating form as of late, especially at The Emirates, picking up 16 points of a possible 18 and unbeaten in our last four in the Premier League. While Everton have only lost one of their last six Premier League games.

So it’s a game which will see two sides in great form go for it, and rightly so.

Big game and big players will need to stand up and be counted for. If we win this, I can’t see us not qualifying for the Champions League next season.

So who should start tomorrow against Everton tomorrow night at The Emirates?

Well this is the starting 11 I’d like to see Arsene Wenger put out:

Fabianski

Sagna          Koscielny          Vermaelen          Monreal

Arteta          Ramsey

Wilshere

Cazorla                                                    Podolski

Giroud

Lukasz Fabianski to remain in goal, if he’s fit, as he is in good form, while I’d like to see Nacho Monreal come in for Kieran Gibbs, just to solidify our defence against a potent Everton attack.

If he is fit and raring to go then Jack Wilshere should start alongside Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta.

Santi Cazorla should continue on the wing, while I’d like to see Gervinho dropped for Lukas Podolski – he deserves a chance.

Olivier Giroud to spearhead our attack.

If things aren’t going our way then we can always call on Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to add some bite and pace to our forward-line.

So, who do you guys reckon should start for us against Everton?

    Sir Chez in goal

Jenkinson and Nacho in for Sagna & Gibbs who both looked knacjered on saturday.

I’d keep TommyV and Kos to handle the quick Mirallas/Anichebe combo

    Ramsey & Arteta to hold
    Cazorla in a free role

    Theo Giroud Podolski up top

Jack, TheOx, Gervinho on the bench as game changers if needed

    Fabianski
    Sagna. Mertesacker Kos. Gibbs
    Arteta. Carzola. Wilshire
    Walcott. Poldoski. Chamberlain

This is no doubts our best team at the moment. Giroud is an embarassment upfront as he is a minus. Poldie is more potent and prolific in dat role. Chamberlain shud get d nod for the left flank.

I think Arsene will again start with Gervinho on the wing, as Wenger seems to allways playing with one wiger who drives in and becomes a playmaking attacking midfieder, who is Santi. While on the other wing Wenger seems to allways to start with an sort of an striker/winger, like Gervinho and Theo… The likes of Santi, Ox, and Poldi is the sort of wingers that likes to go more in center of the pithc and become a sort of a playmaker.

So Arsene allways seems to start with those kind of “wingers”. But my biggest questions before the game is the left back position and the attacking midfield position… On the left back I have no idea who of Gibbs and Nacho that will start, it will be interesting to see who starts. There is also some doubt who will be playing between the sticks, but if Fabianski is fit, he will start. And another question is; will Per be in the starting line up? I dont know, but I hope for Kos and the Captain as center backs.

At least, I think Rosicky will start tomorrow. Because of his phenomenal form recently, I recon he will start, both because he is a hard worker and will be important against a hard foughting Everton, but also his effect on the team.If Rosicky plays well, the team does too. He has great link up play with the other players and he is a player that allways wants to go forward and attack, and is a nightmare for any oppostions.
    My predicted starting line up:

    Fabianski
    Sagna – Koscielny – Vermaelen – Nacho
    Arteta – Ramsey
    Gervinho – Rosicky – Santi
    Giroud

My guess is a 1-0 win and a Giroud goal
