Arsenal target wants Premier League move

|

alvaro negredoWell this will come as great news to all you Arsenal fans out there who rate Alvaro Negredo, as the Sevilla striker openly admitted that he wants to play in the Premier League in the future. When you ask? I don’t know, neither does the 27-year-old.

Negredo, who was linked with the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea in January, said:

‘I’ve always said it and I’ve never tried to keep it hidden. The Premier League is a league that I like. I don’t know if it’s now, maybe a bit later, or tomorrow, but I will play there.’

The Spaniard also went on to reveal that an offer was made for his services during the previous transfer window, but Sevilla did not want to sell the forward:

‘The president received an offer in January but he didn’t look at it. They never said anything directly to me and it wasn’t time to leave.’

He added:

‘I don’t know what will happen in the future. It depends on what the club wants and what it needs.’

Negredo has been in lethal form in front of goal for Sevilla so far this season, netting 21 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions, and with Arsenal seemingly failing to replace Robin van Perise over the summer, Negredo may well be on Arsene Wenger’s wish list at the end of the season.
