Do these 10 Gunners deserve the chop this summer?

|

Arsenal badgeArsenal are reportedly set for a clear out this summer, with 10 names thought to be on the exit list.

Lukasz Fabianski, Andrey Arshavin, Sebastien Squillaci, Nicklas Bendtner, Park Chu-Young, Marouane Chamakh, Denilson, Andre Santos, Vito Mannone and Johan Djourou are the names on the list. But do they deserve to be shown the door?

Let’s start with Fabianski. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has not made a single appearance for The Gunners this season and has, in the past, expressed his desire to leave the club after falling down the pecking order behind both Wojciech Szczesny and Vito Mannone. The Pole requested a loan move away from The Emirates during the January transfer window but was unable to seal a deal after being sidelined with injury. Fabianski is definitely on his way out of the club this summer and I don’t blame him to be honest. He has no chance of challenging Szczesny for his spot so we would be better off getting off our books.

Keep or Sell – Sell

Arshavin – Despite his obvious technical ability and skill, the Russian forward has fallen out-of-favour with Arsene Wenger and a majority of the fans. His last appearance for us came against Chelsea last month where he played only 16 minutes. He has made 11 appearances for us this season, starting only two, these coming in the Capital One Cup. Though I believe he is technically brilliant and offers us something different, his time at Arsenal certainly looks up, as he is rarely seen these days.

Keep or Sell – Sell

Squillaci – Don’t know why he is still on our books. The Frenchman has made just seven appearances in the last two seasons and is behind pretty much everyone in the pecking order. Do we really need him on our books anymore?

Keep or Sell – Sell

Bendtner – The Denmark international wants to leave the club, yet Wenger believes he still has a future at The Emirates. In the past two seasons, Bendtner has struggled to get games at Arsenal and as such been loaned out to Sunderland and more recently Juventus. He oozes confidence, yet he hasn’t done anything special to prove his worth to the team and several fans. However, The Gunners lack attacking options and could well be apart of the line-up next season. Will surely have clubs chasing him if he is placed on the transfer list this summer.

Keep or Sell – Keep, but only if Chamakh goes.

very disappointed with the list, coz wenger should be the first name among the ones leaving, and believe me,we need to get rid of him more than anybody at the club,in order to regroup, rebuild and prosper again.

I would keep Arshavin still proves at international level that he is class,Chamack proved when he had a run in the side when rvp was injured that he can score goals, i would like to keep Bendtner but his problem is he has to big an ego so has to go, the last one not many will agree with is Denilson yes he hasonly had one good season but if you watched him closely then he was very much like a slow Fabregas so still could have a lot to offer, but remember Arsene Knows Best

Perhaps Arshavin could stay but I would rather see him replaced. Chamakh should definitely be sold, he is hopeless. He has scored 14 goals in 67 games, terrible for a striker. Before that he scored 76 goals in 301 in the French league. That is equally hopeless. It has always baffled me why Wenger signed such a bad player. It baffled me at the time and he has done nothing to change my opinion. This purchase was so bad that it made me realise that Arsene no longer knows what a good striker looks like. There were many better strikers playing outside France but Wenger had to get his player from France it seems.

Arshavin is out of contract in june so goodbye and good riddance to him.Hes never played for us like he did for Russia. The rest explain themselves. They need to go if only to free up extra wages for decent players

we need to get ride of wenger.

i dont know the reason why people continue to support wenger.he is tactically poor and plays good players out of thier positions.he is the reason why good players like arshavin, gervinho, charmack etc that were once powerhouses of their former clubs have become flops.selling your best player to a arival you intend to beat for the title makes as much sense as declaring publicly that being in 4th posision for the rest of the season is like winning trophy.he needs to go before he further declines our beloved arsenal.
