After qualifying from the Group Stages of the Champions League over a fortnight ago and knowing who we could possibly go up against in the Round of 16 of the competition, I immediately created a poll on Gunnersphere.com asking fellow Arsenal fans who they would like to see play.
For all of you out there who don’t who we can potentially draw tomorrow morning, here is the list:
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borrusia Dortmund, Juventus, Malaga and PSG.
I think it’s fair to say, no side on the list above will be a walk in the park.
Malaga looks the ‘easiest’ side of the lot, but they have been extremely solid and impressive in the competition thus far, not losing a single game in the Group stages.
Well the results are in and have been verified, and its no surprise to me what team Arsenal fans want to draw tomorrow morning.
Results showed that 52% of votes cast (155 in total) want to take on Malaga.
Shockingly, Barcelona came in second place with 18% of the votes, while mega-rich PSG were third with 12%.
Juventus racked up 8% of the votes, while Dortmund took 7%, and the team the Arsenal faithful would least like to face in the next round in the competition is Bayern Munich, who took the rest of the percentile (3%).
To be honest, I too would like to see us draw Malaga tomorrow, but I won’t be too surprised if we get Barcelona after selling Alex Song to them over the summer – it always happens!
The draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, tomorrow morning from 10:30am.

Psg then Malaga then juventus.Bayern and Barcelona to be avoided at all costs
PSG??? I wouldn’t fancy any AFC central defensive pairing against the mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
I pray luck will be on Arsenal players side that they win instead of drawing games,games drawn looks dangerous.
the only team that we could beat looks like malaga.
i cant see us beating barcelona or bayern.
malaga or psg we have a chance to progress.
any other and we will find it very very hard.

Am i right in thinking that as we finished second we have the home leg first?
None of the above ideally but If we are to face stiff competition, I would rather the following be our fate in the draw:
1st choice – Barcelona (always 2 great games and they usually bring out the best in us. We also know them very well).
2nd choice – Malaga (Despite them being in form, they are our type of team and we might be able to handle them).
3rd choice – Borussia Dortmund (They are very good but we know them and beat them last season when they had a stronger team.)
4th choice – PSG ( Wenger knows how to play against French teams and we have a point to prove against Ibrahimovich).
5th choice – Juventus ( We’ve had pretty good success against Italian teams in the past and can, at our best, handle them).
6th choice – Bayern Munich ( They are, by far the best team in this draw and their home support is very strong…hope we can avoid them…they are, IMO as strong as Barca).
My option goes thus PSG,JUVENTUS,Barcelona or out.we have gud records against french teams,if not bcos of poor& bias officiating on a 50-50 officiating we will be a thorn in d flesh of barca.and lastly we have been very successful against italian teams recently bt no thanks to Milan of last season
I prefer us taking on MALAGA but PSG is another team we can beat to progress to the next level, other than this is our funeral !
I suppose that by the middle of February we could be in way better form,but I’d like the luck of the draw like Utd normally get.Let the Barcas and Bayerns of this world draw each other for once and we can sneak up on the outside rail hopefully
Just our luck to draw Bayern at least the mancs got a hard draw for once.Mind you Valencia got results against them in the group stage so you’d never know
