Arsenal are one of the greatest teams in English history, but have failed to live up to this stature in recent years.

The club haven’t managed to bag a trophy since May 2005, and it is unknown when they will break their duck.

Arguably, every Gooner around the world is desperate to see their darling club lift any trophy at this point, especially considering what they’ve been through for the past seven years.

#onlyagooner will be extremely pleased to see his club win the Capital One Cup, while other clubs with the same calibre are clamouring for either the Premier League or a European trophy.

#onlyagooner will never accept the game is over, even if Arsenal are leading by say a four goal margin.

#onlyagooner will never believe the certainty of three points even if they are playing a lesser team.

#onlyagooner will never believe a deal is done until it has been announced on the club’s website.

#onlyagooner will believe the season ends in February.

#onlyagooner will expect an immediate effect of the UEFA financial fair play.

#onlyagooner can easily survive any future heartbreak due to it’s an annual occurrence at the club.

Even though we all wish and believe these trends wont last for long, #onlyagooner will read it, laugh out loud, and continue the trend.
