Galatasaray are interested in the services of Andre Santos, according to the Turkish club’s chief executive Lufti Aribogan.

The out-of-favour left-back has struggled to make an impact at Arsenal since his arrival from Fenerbache in August 2011 and has only managed to play 44 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.

It’s evidently clearly that the 29-year-old is not in Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans and Galatasaray are set to offer the Brazilian an escape route out of The Emirates when the January transfer window opens.

Quoted in Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik, Aribogan said:

‘Andre Santos is one of the names (we have) on our list.’

But he added:

‘We currently have no contact with his club and the player himself.’

To be honest, I don’t see Santos playing a lot for us this season.

Kieran Gibbs has had an exceptional start to the new campaign and I firmly believe, when Bacary Sagna returns from injury, Wenger will opt to play Carl Jenkinson at left-back ahead of Santos if Gibbs is out injured or suspended.

In addition, the Brazilian’s antics off the pitch could well sway Wenger’s decision to sell, if Galatasaray decide to step up their interest in January.

Santos did well when he came on at Westham. Let’s keep him please. Don,t go forgetting Gibbs’ injury history. Wenger should do a bit of rotation to keep players busy.

This is cock & bull story. He only came to arsenal last season and needs some time to adapt which I think in my opinion, he’s not done bad. This season could be better as in the case of other players like Mertesecha.

Again he omly came back from injury and cannot be thrown in like that without caution. I believe his time will come as Arsenal are challenging in all fronts.

As I have said before, let the fans learn how to support their own for it helps to make them settle and also boost their confidence.

    Up Arsenal
