Kevin Mirallas claims Arsenal want to sign him.

The Olympiacos striker, who is currently on international duty with the Belgium national squad, has been linked with a move to The Emirates, and is believed to be available for just £6.4 million due to a clause in his existing contract.

The Belgium star claims he is ready for a move to one of the major European leagues and says his agent is having talks with Arsenal

The 24-year-old told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad:

‘There is still a chance I will move to the Premier League.

‘My agent is having talks with Arsenal, those rumours are true.’

He finished off by saying:

‘Moving to England would be good for me, it’s good for my family and it’s a good opportunity.’

Liverpool are thought to be keeping tabs on the forward, while CSKA Moscow recently had a £5 million bid for his services rejected by the Greek club.

Mirallas would make a good addition to the squad, and I’m glad he has confirmed that we are in fact interested in him.

However, I believe we should only make a move for Mirallas if Robin van Persie is sold, which looks likely, as we currently have a number of top strikers on our books already.

Still, £6.4 million for a talented, young forward? It’s worth mulling over that’s for sure!

Bollox – Everton have alread got him. @ Kevin Wenger has said the club had little option.RvP was not going to sign a new contract. I think his statement about the club lacking ambition was BS – he wanted £200k per week and no way were we going to pay that. So as Ferguson was the only one willing to pay for hi now rather than wait til he could get him for free £24m was an offer it would be stupid to refuse. Wenger always knew he was off hence getting Podolski and Giroud in relatively early – it was merely a matter of getting the best price for him and hoping that he could flog him abroad – sadly did not happen. RvP had his best season last season he will never repeat that.
