It appears one transfer that Arsene Wenger won’t be making this summer is that of midfielder Marvin Martin.

Martin has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal over the last two transfer windows, but it seems the Frenchman has his heart set on replacing Eden Hazard at Lille – who is expected to leave the side at the end of the season.

It would be quite a blow if this was to happen, but we’ve signed Lukas Podolski, who can play in the same position as Martin, and we have targeted other players, which is pleasing to see. Moreover, the French winger hasn’t had the best of seasons with Sochaux, bagging just the two goals and six assists in 34 appearances.

Well for now it doesn’t look like the 23-year-old will be joining Arsenal, nit yet anyway, but stranger things have happened during the transfer period and I for one expect at least another two signings to be made before the start of next season.
