Why this man should be picked to help ease RVP’s burden

|

Though we all have seen what Chamakh can do when he started out in the Premier League, I dubbed him as the world’s only defensive striker, a player who refuses to shoot at goal. Chamakh most potent weapon is his aerial ability and body strength. Park on the other hand has got quick movement, a good shot on him, can hit hard or bend the ball with finesse and also has a good burst of pace as well. Chamakh seems to have grown shy in front of goal and lost his goal-scoring confidence which he showed at the start of his Premier League career.

As we all may have noticed, the Moroccan is ahead of the Korean national team captain in Arsene Wenger’s books and he is one that sticks religiously to his pecking order and is fond of giving players chance after chance. Personally, I would prefer to see Park fill in Robin’s boots in case the need arises, not Chams.

Though there is a saying in some quarters of how the devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know, I am of the opinion that the devil will never give you something for nothing. He’ll always take more than he gives while the angel, for who he is, has a higher probability of doing you good. In other words, we know Chamakh and his impressive start with us last year, but now he can only give us no goals while racking up playing time as seen since January 2011. Park on the other hand may not have shown us his true quality in the league. He definitely has a lot more in him. Firstly he is his national team captain ahead of players like Manure’s Park Ji Sung. Park has an impressive scoring record for his country, and his style of play suits the Arsenal way more. He is quicker and sharper on and off the ball and he’s also a intelligent footballer.

Having witnessed Chamakh’s goals in his debut season, I must say Park’s strike against Bolton was one of top draw and one I think beats all of Chamakh’s goals at Arsenal so far. I don’t even think that’s a kind of goal we can expect to see Chamakh ever score, as his style of play doesn’t depict such class.

Chamakh may be able to play better with his back to goal, hold up play and bring others into the game because of body strength, while Park relies on his intricate passing, intelligence and quick movement, thus needing other players in close proximity. I would still prefer Park to fill in for Robin if need be because playing as a lone striker requires more than waiting for supply and holding up play, you need quick thinking plus movement, lots of intelligence and speedy execution all of which Robin possesses abundantly, but I don’t see in Chamakh.

Overall, I would deem Park a better striker than Chamakh and I’d like to say its high time Wenger gave Park lots more playing time ahead of the Moroccan as this would help him come into himself more in the Premier League.

With Chamakh’s continued failure to impress, I believe he’d soon fall behind Park in the pecking order and we’ll all finally have the chance to see the man we paid Monaco for in action. Another way this can happen for us and Park is for his team-mates to blow oppositions away quickly, rest Robin and give Park a chance to come on for him.

For now though, I would like to continually see Robin wreak havoc whilst he’s in his devastating.

However, I would love to see Park come in to his own and add to our goal tally alongside RVP.

Don’t even want to imagine van persie getting an injury between now and the end of the season. IT WOULD BE A DISASTER. But if it does happen, then walcott would have to play upfront with gerv and ox playing on the flanks.

to be frank i too want some game time 4 park bt nt at d expense of van persie’s injury.

Park doesnt get much game time because of the language barrier, he speaks more or less no english so plays cant connect well enough with him yet, he speaks french but not everyone in the team does, hopefully he will pick it up over the summer and we might see his quality that hes shown for previous club and country!

Park is never going to be good enough. We must sign a top striker to help RVP

Park Chu Young doesn’t get the captain’s armband ahead of Park Ji Sung because of higher quality. It’s because Park Ji Sung is retired from the national team.

Park’s body language is a picture of defeat whenever I see him even in training images. A coach will find it difficult to play a player that has the look of fear.

Do not get me wrong, this lad has much ability, but he will need a few games in the 1st team to regain his confidence. The question is how much time have we got???

Park should be given more playing time by Wenger.
He is definitely better than Chamkah!
His movements and ball play and eye for goal is good!

Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, now that we have a more balanced side that has started to hit form, we may get into a position where we are 3 goals up at half time and we can rest RVP. Then these fringe players can get a decent look in?
I agree that RVP does dominate the focal point of attack to the exclusion of the others. not a bad thing whilst he is scoring like he is, but what if he has a sudden loss of form? (Perish the thought!)
It would be nice to give the youngsters some first team game time before the season ends … only 6 weeks remember. If a few early goals go in it will be an opportunity, especially for the likes of Park, who just may be a better performer on the pitch than he is in the training ground?

Obviously, if RVP just happen to be injured or otherwise, I think that the Ox should take his place. He is tall,a strong runner and a hard shooter at goal when the opportunity arises, and with two natural three wingers when the Japanese returns to Arsenal when required part of the problem would be solved

The few times that Van Persie has been rested, Chamakh & Park have done fuck all accept when Park played against Bolton in the League Cup. I would rather move Gervinho into the central striking position then have them two upfront because at least with Gervinho chances are going to be created.
