Ryo Miyaichi’s loan seems to be reaping the benefits due to the increased amount of game time he is currently receiving at Bolton.
The 19-year-old Japanese winger looks to be showing the promise and skill everyone has been raving about when he signed for Arsenal last year.
His dribbling ability reminds me that of a young Cristiano Ronaldo, he has a good reading gof the game and is an excellent team player. But what really caught my about him was his finishing, it surprised me in a good. He doesn’t seem to lack composure when he is in front of goal despite his tender age.
I think it’s fair to say that Miyaichi is certainly one for the future. Even though Ryo has a very promising future, I still think Arsenal have to spend big to land Belgian international Eden Hazard. Yes Eden is young, but the 21-year-old has more experience than Ryo, both domestically and in European competitions. Plus, The Lille winger is exactly the kind of player we need to sign this summer, you don’t need me to explain how good a player he actually is, you’ve heard and seen what he can do.
Hazard bags creativity and is a young superstar who is wanted by many clubs around Europe. The Belgian recently expressed his interest in a move to Arsenal, so it looks like we could be the frontrunners for his signature.
If we do manage to sign two or perhaps three type of players like Hazard, and a top class defender in the summer, then we could very well return to our very best and help keep our big names rooted and not eyeing the other teams who are winning trophies.
Mixing our young talent like Ryo, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Francis Coquelin etc, with Europe’s most wanted talent and the senior quality we currently have, we could very well have the squad depth that will see injuries no longer have such a massive impact on our performances and team selections.
All that’s left now is for the board and gaffer to spend the money. Fingers crossed they do.

I do agree it takes iron to sharpen iron. Having Hazard, Ryo, AOC, Wilshere, Gervinho etc, in the same squad one can see the standards improving.

We need 5 players IMO. Defensively need just one addition which is cover on the right side of defense. My pick is De Wiel, can play at either right back or central. Next we need a defensive midfielder to shield the back four (especially when Song is absent) my pick is M’vila who is a massive prospect in France. I then think we need to replace fab and nasri properly (as well as the likely departure of arshavin, rosicky and benayoun) my pick would be both Hazard (who I would playlet centrally than where he plays now) and Goetze both of whom are highly rated play makers (which we’ve missed this season). My final player is Poldolski, who is a proven striker on all levels) as cover for RVP. Now I know this is unlikely but these players would put us on par in terms of squad depth with anyone in the league. Financially I think it is possible given the transfer fund (57m) Wenger has at his disposal plus the revenue generated by the sells of Almunia, Mannone, Squallici, Denilson, Arshavin, Rosicky, Bendtnar, Vela and Park and very possibly the sale of Chamakh too would generate the 100m needed to purchase the players previously mentioned. We just need the club to show the balls to do it.
I’m thinking about same thing and same players for last six months or so. I would add one proven goalkeeper as well.
Give myaichi another year on loan & if ur moving for hazard,better move now.

I think we also need to find a top class striker who can lead the line and score. Someone like Fernando Llorente maybe?
We need to get rid of the fringe players overly well paid wages are sucking the club dry.
And I believe we seriously need to contemplate playing a 3 man defense as we have the types of defenders now to carry it off with conviction. It would also allow with likes of Vermaelen, Kozzer, Djourou and Song more freedom to defend higher up without worrying about being the last man (assuming Mertesacker or Bartley play the last man role). And I also believe it will allow our side backs more width and make room for Theo and Ox to cut in more. There is nothing more frustating and annoying than watching our wing forwards (Theo) streching play to the flanks and whipping a cross in. We are a team of midgets who rarely score from crosses. We should be playing to our (and Theo and Ox’s) strengths, i.e, pace on the counter. We need our front 3 to play narrower and pierce teams through the middle.
I agree that M’Villa would be a great pickup to help cover for Song, esp if Frimpong has already blown out two seperate ACL’s (kness can be a difficult injury concern after they are blown).
I would also like to see a strong CB that can challenge the strong forwards in the EPL like Chelillini (unlikely to leave Juve ever and spelled wrong i know), Samba, or even Sakho. Mertesacker is good, but slow. Kos and TV5 are good in my book (sans the last game for KOS), but only time will tell.
And a back up for RVP like Podolski would be phenomenal. But one of the biggest pickups Arsenal needs is a controlling and powerful midfielder that we have lacked since the departure of Viera, Petit, etc.
