Former Gunner Remi Garde has backed Arsene Wenger as Laurent Blanc’s successor to the French national job after Euro 2012.
According to RMC Sport in France, Garde has gone on record to state:
‘Wenger as the new national team coach? I believe that position would suit him well.’
He added:
‘He knows European football very well, and also has good knowledge of world football and the French players because he follows the league closely.
‘He would definitely be an interesting option in case Blanc leaves his position. He is a very big name in the world of football.’
Wenger has previously been linked with PSG, Real Madrid and France but has always maintained and is proud of the fact he has never broke a contract with an employer.
The 62-year-old Frenchman has come under fire recently from the media and sections of his beloved Arsenal’s supporters, with the Gunners seven year absence from lifting a trophy cited as the main reason behind it.
Despite this, Theo Walcott has said how the blame should not be laid at the feet of Wenger alone, claiming the 7-1 drubbing of Blackburn was owed to their boss
Arsene Wenger will one day leave Arsenal. However, will it be the end of this season or in 10 years time? Only the Frenchman can answer this question.

In my moderate opinion, I do not mind Wenger moving on; its just very, very sad that he will be leaving when the ovation has died….
Quite a number will remember him (more) as a failure.
HAHA nasri wont get to start for France anymore!
