QPR star Jay Bothroyd recommends all young players should go to Arsenal in order to gain ‘a great football education’.

The 29-year-old forward attended and took part in Sunday night’s FIFA Interactive World Cup tournament in Oxford Street and after playing some FIFA 2012 with several pros of the game, Bothroyd discussed all things football.

When asked which club he’s enjoyed playing at the most, Bothroyd replied:

‘I don’t know if I can answer that right now until I finish my career, but obviously playing for Arsenal when I grew up was fun and we had a great team.

‘I’d always recommend young players to go to Arsenal for a great football education.

‘But professionally I’d probably say Cardiff so far.’

The England international began his footballing education at the famous Arsenal youth academy, where he spent two years honing and developing his talent. However, due to an incident involving him and then youth coach Don Howe, the 6’3’’ striker was sold to Coventry City.

But despite his differences, Bothroyd still believes Arsenal is the place to be for aspiring and up-and-coming youngsters to develop a great footballing education. Are you listening Eden Hazard and Mario Gotze?

Undoubtedly we remain one of the best club’s in Europe to hone young talent into world-beaters, and for Bothroyd to give his stamp of approval says a lot.
