Jack Wilshere’s time at Bolton inspired Ryo Miyaichi’s loan move to the Rebook Stadium for the remainder of the season after making just two appearances for the Gunners.
The Japan Under-19 international hopes that his time in Horwich, Greater Manchester, will be as fruitful as it was for Wilshere when he was loaned out to Owen Coyle’s team during the 2009/10 season.
Miyaichi said:
‘Jack Wilshere said I would become a better player by playing here.
‘I saw what Jack did here (on loan) two years ago. Of course, I want to be like him and play well for Bolton. My style is to dribble with the ball so I’m excited to come here.’
‘He’s a very talented young player, who is quick and exciting.
‘He had a great spell on loan at Feyenoord last season.’
To be honest, I am unhappy with Arsene Wenger for not giving Miyaichi more games. Two Carling Cup matches don’t exactly show faith in a player.
However, his temporary move to Bolton, that, I’m happy with. Maybe it’s just me who thinks this but Coyle seems to have a way of making young players bring out the best in themselves.
Yes he gives them more playing time which helps, but I feel the way he interacts with the players contributes largely to their development.
Miyaichi may have a similar or better outcome to that of Wilshere at Bolton. Whatever the case I feel he will return better than when he left.

Considering Walcott has been awful all season (career) I’m very surprised wenger hasnt given Ryo a chance to prove himself. I whole heartily believe ryo will be a wc player as he has the same pace as Walcott but actually has essential footballing attributes I.e intelligence, touch, tricks etc.. Show wenger he was wrong ryo and remove theo the clown from the arsenal team
cant wait to see ryo play on a regular basis!
As a Bolton fan Jack was a unique case and I fear Ryo will suffer the same fate as Kakuta (chelski) and Weiss (citeh) who were both wingers but hardly got any playing time because they couldn’t defend. I’d like to be proved wrong but Bolton are fighting for their lives and out-and-out wingers are likely to be too much of a luxury.
I hope playin there brings him back a more complete article,he should take gervinho’s place, since the forhead has not impressed since joinin from lille…
