There are only three months left to run on Yossi Benayoun’s loan deal and Arsene Wenger will need to decide whether or not the Chelsea midfielder merits a permanent stay at the Emirates:
Chelsea team-mate Fernando Torres is eager for Benayoun to return back to Stamford Bridge, as he likes playing alongside the Israel international:
‘He is a really good friend so hopefully he can join Chelsea after his loan in Arsenal.’
Question is, has Yossi done enough to warrant a permanent move to Arsenal?
I for one am a fan of Benayoun, as he brings something different to the game when he comes on. But I just don’t know where he would fit into the squad. You could argue that if we were to get rid of Andrey Arshavin that Yossi would certainly be a better replacement for the Russian. However, he’s 31-years-old and as such would only have a couple of seasons left in him.
Still, I think he is a great guy and footballer, who has come to us under difficult circumstances. I would like him to stay at the club, as he provides experience to a squad that clearly lacks this quality and bolsters our midfield options.
Yossi has made a total of 17 appearances (7 starts) in all competitions for Arsenal since joining them in the summer, netting three goals along the way.
Should Wenger look to sign the Chelsea midfielder on a permanent deal after his loan spell expires?

Err…no.
Yossi is a really good player, but a permanent deal,no i dont think so.
A useful player to bring off the bench, and has contributed more than Ashavin and Rosicky.
He has hardly had a chance and has more goals in his 17 appearences than most players on the team. Imagine if he played more, how many more goals and assists he would have had. Maybe would have helped save Arsenal’s sSeason like he did in Liverpool 3 years ago. Don’t think he would want to stay the way Wenger is under valuing him anyways.
Not good enough for Liverpool nor Chelsea. Why would he be good enough for Arsenal?
I’d rather see Lansbury get a chance instead of this guy. Also the same with Miyaichi, Afobe & Aneke.

As for Yossi, under utilised but not a permenant deal
That’s the one. Lansbury. This guy shows real commitment and should be in the squad.
Pointless question he is clearly not good enough! I to would rather have Lansbury although he not even made the first team at West Ham so don’t expect any wonders there just prefer a young home grown prospect on lower wages. We could bring back Denilson who is earning £50,000 per week to sit on a beach well done board!!
