Arsene Wenger may be forced to make a short-term move for a left-back this month, after Thomas Vermaelen picked up a calf injury which will keep him out of action for up to three weeks.
Currently, there are only two names on Wenger’s list – Manchester City’s Wayne Bridge and AC Milan’s Taye Taiwo.
The out-of-favour City left-back is available on loan and it’s believed Arsenal are considering a shock swoop for the ex-England international.
However, this potential deal will come down to whether City will allow the 31-year-old to go to a rival club and whether Arsenal are prepared to pay most of his £90,000-a-week wages.
Wenger’s other option is 26-year-old Nigerian full-back Taye Taiwo.
Like Bridge, the AC Milan defender is currently our-of-favour and is understood to be considering his options. The strong full-back was also linked with a move to the Emirates in the past, so a loan deal could be possible.
So I ask – who should Wenger go for: Bridge or Taiwo?

I think taiwo will be a perfect cover-up cos he some potentials like thunderbolt shot and support attack
Taiwo is a left-footer and still young. He’s good in long range kicks. Again, he is accurate when he’s with the ball. However, Bridge is an experient player no doubt but he’s very old for Arsenal’s style of football. His wages £90,000 is too much. Thus, we should go for Taiwo.
Taiwo’s is worst defensive player have ever seen.yes his attack is good but is defending is poor.bridge is better.

Milan will never give us Taiwo now that they know we facing them.
Man.city will sure release Bridge to Arsenal and he can play Champ.lg since he is/was not on Mancini’s 28-man list for any C.L.

None of them. Taiwo is not good defensively. If Wenger gets him, he will not use him for long. Let Wenger go and get the Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen and spare us this stinginess.The defensive trouble has started again and this is just January. A stitch in time saves nine.
