With Arsenal gunning for revenge against Manchester United tomorrow, several thoughts come to mind – who should be playing and what team should Arsene Wenger put out?
With the amount of injuries and things going on at Arsenal at the moment it is difficult to tell who will start.
Thomas Vermaelen looks highly doubtful, as does Thierry Henry and Mikel Arteta is all but out of contention for a spot in the line-up.
So here is who I believe should be in our starting line-up for tomorrow’s big game:
Szczesny
Djourou Mertesacker Koscienly Miquel
Song Benayoun
Walcott Oxlade-Chamberlain Arshavin
Van Persie
Defensively we are going to have problems. Youngster Yennaris is also a possibility to consider, but out main concern, besides bagging all 3 points, is that we don’t pick up any more injuries.
I think the best thing we can do is attack tomorrow and take the game to United because with there goalkeeping problems and depleted defence we might just be able to nick a goal and hold out. This is why I’ve brought Alex Song back into the fold. Aaron Ramsey really disappointed me last weeks game against Swansea and I believe he needs a rest; this is why I’ve brought in Andrey Arshavin on the left wing and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace Ramsey and sit just behind Robin van Persie.
I cannot see Thierry Henry playing a full match. Besides, he may not feature at all tomorrow due to a slight knock.
I do think however that Chamberlain deserves a run of games and although this is a big one, I think it could help the youngster build up his confidence, especially with Rio Ferdinand likely to miss the game.
So there we are that is my line-up for tomorrow. I don’t think for a second that Wenger will go for it, but it could be the perfect time to turn the tables and get a much needed 3 points on the board, especially with Chelsea dropping two against Norwich earlier today.

We put that team out there! We might just get our respect and dignity back. It will also mean the end of Arsene’s blind faith instead of reality. Ox has much desire, frieghting pace, strength to hold and start attacks on his terms, and outside shot. Although he lacks experience, he will definitely trouble united more so then Ramsey which will be the same failure he has been lately and the 8:2 depacle! Mr. Wenger is desparate and dangerous but will he be unpredictable and succeed? I am all for the Ox to play behind Robin infront of Song the two most experiences and strong minded players we have available. Rosicky and Ramsey made young Francis rubish and allowed wave after wave of attacks into the final third because they had/have no presence, attack,defense or ball retention. They loose the ball and look around. And that is the truth…… Can’t blame injuries, can’t blame the defense blame Mr. Wegner inability to see the midfield problem….. Fix it or suffer the same faith while we gooners world wide bury our heads in the sand again till another five or six wins to wash away the pain of been trahed at home.
I would switch Arsh and Ox and put Rosicky in instead of Benayoun. Unless he’s injured?
You got it right out of all the comments i’ve seen.i believe benayoun those not have the strength like rosicky after 20mins he begins to fade off if wenger had start rosicky during the last match and allow ashavin play in his prefered role by putting rambo on the bench and let ox play from the left wing i believe we would have gotten desired result.
My thought exactly. Asharvin should play in his favourite role, in the hole, just behind RVP and have Ox on his right, Rosicky on his left.

I would prefer Ox on the left and not big flop Arshvin. Then Ramsey should play not because he has done weel but we do not have many options available. Then Rosciscky ( hope I got it) and definitely not Benayoun. God help us

You’re an idiot! Support is supposed to have no bias. You support your team wether they are first or last. There are so little true fans left who support big clubs. The rest are all bandwagoners, only supporting a team because they are successful. Love your team, instead of standing against it. Support instead of opposing. If you really want to win but can’t stand this club, then you might as well go support spuds. Not much change in geography I hear!

Lol. Yeah who ever presented Arsenal and Spuds as an optional for supporters in an Arsenal forum should be ashamed! I say if Arsene chooses to be unpredictable, we will have a chance to win and move on. If he stays predictable (choosing Ramsey in midfield/yossi/Unfit Rosicky). We will present no fear no service to Robin and have difficult time retaining and finishing. The Ox must play on the Left Arshavin behind Robin. Theo on the other side. Rosicky or even JD with song
