A strong and confident individual who organises his defence is unexpected of a player his age. But that is what he brings to the table other than his world class skills in-between the sticks, which has made him a vital component in this new look Gunners side.
Wenger believes the young Pole will continue to improve, after displacing Fabianski as number one for both club and country. In my opinion, this mostly comes down the youngster’s determination which he hopes – come Euro 2012 – will help him in his quest to become one of the world’s best.
Wenger continued by saying:
‘I have shown with my decisions that I am a great believer in Wojciech.
‘The rest, how far he can go, I wouldn’t like to predict. That is what a career is all about.
‘I believe that as soon as you lose that sharpness to improve you are in trouble, no matter how young you are.
‘That’s why I would just say, ‘keep your attitude and you will have a bright future’.’
Well if Szczesny continues to progress, which seems highly likely, then that number one jersey looks filled for the next 15 years at Arsenal.
Whenever Wenger rarely buys during the transfer windows, I sometimes think to myself is it due to the quality of players that our youth academy produces? Well it certainly seems so. However, we do need to buy to add some much needed experience.
But when it comes to the goalkeeping department, Szczesny has it wrapped up nicely.
Only Swansea’s Vorm has kept more clean sheets than our very own Shezza this season. But I can’t help but agree with Wenger that we do have the leagues best keeper in our grasps.

Aint it funny how poeple will completly agree with Wenger when he points out the complete obvious but when he backs certain other players people jump on hes back claiming he doesnt no what hes doing.
