My revised Christmas wish to ‘Santa Wenger’

As its December I thought I’d better get on with my letter to ‘Santa Wenger’.

Here it is:

Dear Santa Wenger,

I’ve been a good boy all year, well mostly.

I’ve kept the faith when others doubted and called for your head on a silver platter.

I have religiously got up early on Sunday mornings to cheer on you and the team, even though this meant me rocking up to work on numerous occasions looking like I’d drunk a case the night before!

I have survived through Birmingham City and Brand United and rejoiced through Chel$ki and Barça (at home).

For all this and more, I ask you this as my (revised) Christmas wish:

Sell Chamakh, Arshavin, Djourou and Squillaci. Loosen the purse strings.

Buy Podolski or Neymer, Gotze or Hazard and Vertonghen.

It’s a big ask, but one I believe myself and all Gooners alike deserve.
