Forgotten Gunner wants Brazil stay

Despite drawing AC Milan in the Champions League Round of 16, which is possibly the worst team we could have gone up against at this stage in the competition, I have some good news to report and hopefully cheer up those who are fearing the worse.

Forgotten Gunner Denilson recently stated that he wants to remain with Sao Paulo after his loan deal with the Brazilian club expires at the end of the season – great stuff!

The 23-year-old midfielder returned to his homeland in the summer on a temporary deal after five years at the Emirates. However, he has not had the best of seasons at his ‘new home’, having been sent off twice in his first three outings, as the Brazilian outfit finished sixth in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

The not-so-wanted midfielder recently had an interview with Radio Globo, where he admitted that he would like to stay with Sao Paulo:

‘Personally, I’m very sad that the season will finish this way. Of course there’s still a game remaining and there is hope for the Libertadores.’

He added:

‘I still have six more months, I hope to cool off a little, enjoy the holidays with my family, to return more professional and get things right next year.’

Hopefully his wish is granted and he stays in Brazil, we certainly don’t want him back here.
