Arsenal and Liverpool are pondering January bids for unhappy Manchester City winger Adam Johnson.

The England international has seemed visibly upset since being substituted in the first half of Manchester City’s Champions League match with Villarreal.

Johnson has now scored in consecutive matches for Roberto Mancini’s side in two wins over Wolves but has neglected to celebrated on both occasions to show his frustration.

This has alerted both Arsenal and Liverpool to Johnson’s circumstances at Eastlands and the duo will believe they can offer the wide player greater playing time at their respective clubs.
