FC Dallas winger Brek Shea believes his current training stint with Arsenal will not lead to the north London club offering him a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old USA international is currently on trial with The Gunners and has been training with the club at their famous Colney base for a few weeks now. However, the MLS starlet still feels he has a lot to learn before even considering a move to the Premier League.

Speaking about his training experience with The Emirates outfit, Shea had this to say:

‘I got a call one day and was offered the chance to go and train during the break. I thought it was cool and I accepted – it was as easy as that.

‘Arsene Wenger said he wanted the best players even in training. This is a great opportunity for me even if it is only for a short while.

‘I am very excited to train with players of great quality, some of which are the best in the world. Rubbing shoulders with them will obviously make me grow. I cannot wait.

Despite his pleasure at being able to, as he put it, rub shoulders with some of the worlds finest, the FC Dallas youngster reckons he must hone his skills further before sealing a potential move abroad and is likely to remain in the MLS for now:

‘I am likely to stay with Dallas, though. I am still young and I have got a lot to learn before trying my luck in Europe.’
