German whizzkid and Arsenal target Mario Gotze has played down talks of a January move to the Premier League.
The 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund starlet hinted last week that he would quit the Bundesliga side if they failed to progress into the knockout stages of the Champions League. However, after netting a brace in Dortmund’s 5-1 thrashing over Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon, the German playmaker said:
‘I am really happy here. That is all that counts.
‘I have a contract here until 2014 and I am more than happy. I think you can see that too and that is why I am happy to be here.’
Despite Gotze’s latest comments, in my opinion, I think this story will run until the last day of the January transfer window.
