Alex Song has become a target for Barcelona, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 24-year-old midfielder is seen by the Catalan giants as the ideal replacement for Seydou Keita, who plans to leave the Camp Nou next summer.
Although Song still has three more years left on his existing contract at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger is eager to secure the Cameroon international on a longer deal, as the Frenchman views the box-to-box midfielder as a major asset to his side.
Wenger has already offered Song a new contract, but this offer was reportedly rejected. However, Wenger is determined and remains confident he’ll be able to tie Song down for at least another four years at Arsenal.
But if Song refuses to commit his long-term future with Arsenal, it is believed Barca will make a move for him next summer.
Reports claim the La Liga and European Champions are ready to pay more than £15 million for the versatile midfielder.
Although Song will be reluctant to leave the club and man (Wenger) who made him the player he is today, the Cameroonian might well be tempted by the once-in-a-life-time chance to play for the team currently rated as the best in world football.

If Song has THREE years still to run on his current contract, Arsenal are in the driving seat at leasst for the time being. The answer is to slap a £50million sale price on him to quieten down the Spanish and then enter into talks with him. No panic yet.
Song might be reminded of the word “Loyalty”.
