Arsenal are lining up a £20 million bid for German star Lukas Podolski.
According to Sportsmail, The Gunners will reignite their interest in the 26-year-old FC Koln striker amid concerns over the future of Robin van Persie, who has just 18 months left to run on his existing deal at the Emirates.
Reports in Germany claim Arsenal scouts have watched the German international in action for FC Koln this season and are said to have been impressed with his displays.
Although I think this is just yet another rumour, I for one hope that it isn’t, as I would love for us to acquire Podolski.
He has a similar style of play to that of our captain and also has a lethal left foot which could probably compete with RVP’s. Podolski also has experience, which would be useful, and has been capped 93 times for his country.
Podolski has netted 8 goals in 10 Bundesliga games so far this season.
