Is it time to give these two starlets a run out?

Sunday gave Arsenal a much needed, morale boosting victory against a team who came for a draw, parked the bus, but ultimately failed to deliver on their plan to frustrate and conquer.

A wins a win, you can only beat who’s in front of you. However, my concerns lie in our width, or lack there of.

In my humble opinion, over the past few games Gervinho and Theo’s input has been sketchy to say the very least.

Both spend the majority of the game on the periphery, occasionally producing a five minute burst of magic, only to disappear into the background as soon as they appeared.

Is it time for Arsene Wenger to shake up the status quo and put pressure on the two current incumbents of the ‘wide role’ and bring in AOC and Ryo?

After all from what we’ve seen, both have skill in abundance and neither would lack enthusiasm given half a chance.

A run out in the Worthless Cup is a must, then a Premier League start to follow?

That will be a tough thing to do while the club is trying to get Walcott to sign a new deal. Besides, Ryo and Chamberlain can’t both play at the same time on the Right wing. As for Gervinho, no chance will our first choice left Wing senior player be put on the bench to make way for Ryo or Chamberlain, no way mate. Besides, Gervinho played very well against Sunderland. He looked hungry the whole time, he contributed and always seemed a threat. This was not the case with Walcott. I would say cash Walcott in, I’ve run out of patience with him. I consider Chamberlain already better than Walcott and so does Wenger, it’s just that you can get more for money for a player with a long contract – and so Walcott needs to sign one before the better players get a good run out.

Have you noticed how Walcott isn’t doing his sicknote thing. The guy knows it’s too dangerous to be away. The fact Walcott has been booked only once in his career also shows you that he has no steel.

  • yeah its high for wenger to lauch AOC this may be waking slap for walcott to realise thats its high to improve for walcott
