Arsenal are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero, according to sources in Spain.
Granero, 24, is likely to be frozen out of Jose Mourinho’s plans this season after only making eight starts in La Liga during the 2010/11 campaign.
This has apparently alerted Arsenal who are ready to make a move for Granero in either the January window or next summer.
Granero has two years left on his current Real Madrid contract and it is thought that Arsenal are willing to pay around £10 million for the Spaniard when the transfer window re-opens.
