Nicklas Bendtner has recently revealed that he won’t return to Arsenal, unless he is guaranteed first-team football at the club.
The frozen out Gunner, who only started 3 Premier League matches for Arsenal last season, managed to seal a season-long loan deal to Sunderland on deadline day a few weeks ago after failing to impress Arsene Wenger and gaining a starting role at the north London club.
Shortly after moving to Sunderland, Bendtner, 23, stated that he would never return to Arsenal, as he felt he was treated wrongly by Wenger and was not in the Frenchman’s plans.
The Denmark international still stands by his statement, but recently revealed that he would only make a return to the Emirates, if, and only if, he was guaranteed regular first-team action.
The 6’5’’ striker said:
‘A lot of things have happened and a lot of things were said. At the moment I am focussing on doing well here and then we will see next season. But one thing is for sure, I want to play football and I don’t want to be doing what I was doing before. That was the thing that I said, if it was going to be the same then I would rather not go back.’
Sadly for Bendtner, if he were to return, he will more than likely be doing what he was doing before he left us, especially with the addition of Park Chu-Young this summer.
Time to move on Nic.
