Arsenal are contemplating a January move for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo, according to the Daily Mirror.
Scouts from Arsenal were reportedly present during Italy’s win over Slovenia this week, a match in which Montolivo figured for the 2006 World Cup winners.
The 26-year-old is out-of-contract at the end of the season meaning that Arsenal could make a move for a cut-price deal this coming January or try to agree a bosman deal with the player for next summer.
Fellow Italian side AC Milan are also thought to be interested though and are likely to rival Arsenal for Montolivo’s signature.
