Life maybe ‘great’ for you Wenger, but not for us

You will be forgiven for thinking that the feelings of the fans are echoed at Arsenal with the majority of tweets that I read on a daily basis being mainly doom and gloom.

However, in a recent interview with French TV, Arsene Wenger stated:

‘I am a passionate person. It excites me sometimes to fight against the tide, against a lot of things. At the moment things are great, as I have a lot to fight for.’

Well I am glad to see that someone thinks that our current situation is ‘great’ as a majority of the fans certainly don’t think so. We have received 2 red cards, conceded 2 goals and have yet to score a Premier League goal and a trip to United is just around the corner.

Will we have Nasri by the time that game comes around? Who knows.

I am still in favour of Wenger remaining at the club and I know this may not go down with all the fans and I will probably receive a lot of comments about this statement, but this is how I truly feel – Wenger is the man for the job. I trust the Frenchman to put things right and get us the correct players by the time the transfer window closes.

Wenger also commented about the Liverpool game, which, in my opinion, we played well in until the sending off of Frimpong.

Wenger said:

‘We were a bit young against Liverpool, I agree. I agree as well we looked a bit naive in some situations. But we showed a great spirit and were really unlucky. I don’t feel we deserved to lose the game.’

In that I think he hit the nail on the head, we were unlucky. However, I think the majority of us saw Frimpong being sent off so he should’ve replaced him before this happened.

All in all, I think that what Wenger is trying to say is that he enjoys the current challenge at Arsenal, and that for him, as a manager, it’s great, despite a poor start to the season. However, for us (the fans) things are extremely difficult and with a massive week of games ahead of us, I think every Arsenal fan is worried about this upcoming week, as it could shape our season.

I think he meant that he relishes the challenge.

I agree, he’s the right man for the job. I’m glad we’ve got someone at the helm who relishes a scrap because we’re in the middle of the fight of our lives right now.

Past his sell by date…. Now Nasri’s gone, we’ll probably lose to Udinese and Man U… great… only 9 days to sign ‘Super Quality’.
‘Busy Summer’…. we’d better get a move on. Three teenagers and an unproven player in the EPL, this is a fucking joke!

Agreed that Wenger’s is the best at the moment. Fans are blaming him for not buying but as I would agreed that it is a bit frustrating but the problems may not lie with him alone.

The fans should pressure Gazidis and PHWOOD to resign as they are the main persons involved in the transfer dealing. Usmanov to have a seat to do the check and order for the club but not to challenge the Board on everything. Dein should be back as Technical Director and ij-charge of trasnfer dealing.
