Arsenal and Spurs have been linked with Lazio hitman Mauro Zarate.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 15-million rated striker is on The Gunners radar and the player’s agent, Beppe Bozzo, claims that the Argentine has already flown to England to speak to both north London clubs over a possible summer move.
The former Birmingham forward has reportedly fallen out with Lazio Boss Edy Reja after being left out of last week’s friendly game against Villarreal.
With Arsenal set to offload Nicklas Bendtner and Marouane Chamakh being the only real back-up for Robin van Persie, should the Dutchman pick up an injury, Arsene Wenger is keeping a close eye on Zarate’s situation.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito recently hinted that the 24-year-old could be cut loose this summer, if the price is right.
Lotito said:
‘Zarate is not on the market but it is clear that if a top offer was to arrive it would be considered.’
Zarate managed to make 35 appearances for Lazio last season, bagging 9 goals and 7 assists along the way.
Here is a video of the Argentine in action:
Would you welcome Zarate to the Emirates?
Is he an ideal target, if so, should Arsenal pursue him this summer?

dat young shld remain where he is we dont need him. 9 goals in 35 match? We dnt want him.
Zarate is an average player with average dribble skills that can improve at emirate and give arsenal hope at frontline. With little i know about him, is better than chamakh & bendtner, sharper than walcot. At 24, he can stil improve.
Better to keep Bendtner, he has a far better goal return than Zarate. More silly media created nonsense
Who cares it obviously aint guna happen anyways. Let’s be honest
too good to be an arsenal player
