Will Arsenal be playing catch up this summer?

With the list of players who are ‘being allowed to leave’ in the public domain and the list of possible departures growing daily, Arsenal are in the POSSIBLE position of losing:

Nicklas Bendtner – anywhere big enough for his ego

Denilson – anywhere

Cesc Fabregas – Barca, its going to happen – let’s sort it and move on

Samir Nasri – Brand United

Gael Clichy – City, Liverpool?

That’s five first-team players, three of our starting eleven, who need replacing BEFORE we look at improving the squad.

Arsene Wenger isn’t the most proactive in the transfer market at the best of times and the potential loss of Cesc, Samir, and Gael exasperates the problem, because without world class replacements, their departures seriously weaken the team.

To get to where the fans expect us to be next season, we are potentially looking at eight new players to come in!!! (five replacements and three improvements).

With Jenkinson the only definite, and the signings of Gervinho and Alvarez

yet to be confirmed, at best, we are still looking for five more players – a centre-back, a defensive and attacking midfielder, a left-back and a striker.

Wenger and Ivan are going to be on the phone a lot from the Asian Tour bus.

I seriously doubt our boss will bring in that many players because:

1. When has Wenger brought that many players before?

2. We don’t seem to be very quick at negotiating since David Dein left, so there’s no way we would get another seven transfers done by September!

3. Eight is a hell of a lot of players to integrate in one go!

To be blunt, I really can’t see this happening.

Let’s hope that the speculation is just that, and that things don’t turn out as

bad as they could. Because, If we end up not fully replacing what’s been sold and not buying enough to catch up Manure, Chelski and Citeh, then we will be behind on both counts and in that scenario ‘two negatives don’t make a positive.’

IT’S TIME FOR THE FANS TO STAND UP!!! Obviously the players have lost faith with the club and have lost faith with AW. Really its time Arsenal found a new manager, as a fan I can’t see AW bringing about massive changes either than selling players when they peek. No established payers wants to come to Arsenal because its a club that develops young talents, once AW goes so will the philosophy which got us the drought for 6 years. Arsenal is no small club we should be at the top its the drought that effected this club and its ambitions, the only person who has to take the blame is AW, its time he moved on!!!! Just like no players is bigger than the club no manager is bigger than the club!!!!!!!
