Just when we thought we got rid of him…

It appears the champagne needs to be put back on ice, as it appears out-of-favour Denilson is already plotting a return to Arsenal next season.

Earlier this week, the 23-year-old Brazilian told Sky Sports:

‘I miss London, I miss Arsenal, I lived there for five years, it’s a long time for me. But I think next season I’ll be back.’

So Deni, who has gone back to Sao Paolo on a season long loan, appears to want a return to the Emirates after his temporary move to Brazil expires – really? The guy who was desperate to leave now can’t wait to come back from his loan spell – what’s going on here.

To be honest, I thought he would have got the hint already. He isn’t a regular at Arsenal and probably never will be – he just isn’t needed anymore at the Emirates.

As you can tell, I don’t rate Denilson highly and believe our club would be better off if he was off our books permanently.

Maybe he is finding living in a shack in a Favella not as easy as he remembers and is now missing the luxury apartment in London?
Please, please please stay in Brazil

  • You people lack any grace whatever, don’t you?

  • Ernest Buya says:

Denilson is a great player,it’s only that his progress is slow.People forget where players like Lucas Leiva came from.

  • Edub says:

Not big or clever Allan. May not have been the greatest player for us but at least we have a player here that wants to play for arsenal and comes out and says it!

Sincerely, lack of memory cells. So a brat who says he wants to leave AFC because of the lack of trophy and being one of the reason for the debacle is finally a model for you.
A toilet brain who dares tell other they are not clever enough. Ha Ha Ha. I enjoy this one.Drink something quickly, my friend, to boost your long term memory and refresh your short term memory.
Ha Ha Ha. Anyway thanks (to you and Denilson) for the laugh.

I think he realized what he had and mellowed out. I dont rate him too highly either but he has a lot of games with 100% pass accuracy. Hopefully hell come up a new denilson

Nah, I told ya, Denilson just said he
is probably coming back next season.
Said he misses the club or somethin’.

Arsenal Supporter drops to knees. Close up of face. Tears.

Vertical shot, Arsenal Supporter looks up at the night sky in despair. Rain falls all around him. Arms outstretched.

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Samuel says:

Denilson can,t get a game at Arsenal because that
rubbish English Theo Walcott needs to play regularly
so why not sell Theo back to Southampton where he
belongs, a second division (championship )club where
close control and brilliant first touch aren,t impo
rtant ,just kick and run old style English ?

I’m no fan of Denilson as a player, but i dont think its fair to lump him in with want aways like Bendtner, Fabragas, Nasri. He was never desperate to leave. He just realized that he wasn’t cutting it at Arsenal. He was depressed and disappointed. He thought his only real chance to get regular first team football was to give up and go to a lesser team. Now that he is on loan he’s harboring hopes that he can prove himself worthy of another chance at the Emirates. Can you really blame him? Is it really nessisary to pile on this kid (and yes he’s barely more than a child). I’m sure when he went to Arsenal he had visions of grandeur in his head. Over the last two years, especially last year he’s seen that all slip away. Sure he’s een paid a lot, but from his point of view he has failed and his life is falling apart on him as we all sit and watch… and comment. I doubt we will see much of Denilson ever again in European football, but what a great sports story it would be if he comes through this difficult time in his life and returns a new, better player.

    Doc Brody,
Your comment should be circulated to all those so-called Arsenal home supporters who have abused Denilson in the past and still do even though he has departed. A masterpiece of commonsense and composure. The guy always did his best and I would like to think that a new club will bring out a hidden talent which we might be glad to have on our side, next season.

Denilson belongs to a second-tier league team.
