Arsenal may use the cash they receive from the Gaey Clichy and Samir Nasri deals to buy Wolves striker Kevin Doyle for £12 million.
The Daily Mirror reports that with Clichy likely to leave Arsenal for Manchester City and Nasri also Manchester-bound, Arsene Wenger is desperate to strengthen his squad and has identified Doyle as a player who can give the Gunners some aerial threat.
Moroccan forward Marouane Chamakh was pinpointed last season as the player to give Arsenal an extra dimension in the final third but the former Bordeaux star has found it difficult to settle in the Premier League.
Instead, Wenger could look to Doyle who is much more experienced in England.
Arsenal are also thought to be close to a deal for Lille striker Gervinho.

Where can i get coaching credentials cause it hurts to see other people get good money for nothing yet you better than them. Why Doyle when we can get better and you criticise chamark but wenger is the cause of all our problems can any of you point out a natural winger at arsenal for the past 5 yrs, so how do you expect chamark, adebayor, bedtner and even your doyle to knock in goals if you don’t have quality crossers. Guess what, Wenger – we HAVE the money! The Summer Sales season in England is over now so the longer you waits to buy, the more we’ll have to pay; and newcomers won’t be ready for the start of the season… I for one am so-o-o angry with AW and the Board letting we fans suffer all season and now feel even worse while we get no news about new players. What we need is a STAR to brighten our lives and Doyle may be good but he isn’t going to set the stdiam alight.
