Can Bendtner bag another hat-trick today? It’s possible at 14/1

|

After easing past League One side Leyton Orient in midweek, Arsenal must now turn their attention to Sunderland at the Emirates this afternoon.

The Gunners are currently four points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United, but could close the gap to just one point with a win over Steve Bruce’s side.

Despite their loss to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final last week, Bet 365 have made Wenger’s men favourites to bag all three points at 2/5 this afternoon, Sunderland are at 15/2, whilst a draw looks good 7/2.

Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner, is likely to start for the Gunners today after netting three goals against Orient in the F.A Cup, but can he repeat this feat today? Well, you will find Bendtner at 14/1 to bag a hat-trick this afternoon. Marouane Chamakh, who also bagged a goal in midweek, can be found at 3/1 to score first or last and 8/11 at anytime.

Sunderland’s current form is appalling to say the very least. In their last five Premier League games they have lost four and won one. However, Sunderland have caused a few upsets already this season, and will certainly fancy another one against a depleted Arsenal side. Midfielder Kieran Richardson looks good at 5/1 to score anytime, whilst Asamoah Gyan to score first and last is 9/1.

My Prediction

I think Arsenal will have enough to overcome Sunderland this afternoon, as they continue to track down Manchester United in the Premier League. However, it seems anything is possible against Wenger’s side these days.

Nonetheless, I will be going for a 2-1 Arsenal win and Marouane Chamakh to score at anytime at 11/1.
