Are Arsenal the most victimised team in the Premier League?

|

A lot of attention is on the Frenchman and his club, this maybe of course due to their status in the game, but it seems to me that Wenger gets victimised over the little things that go unnoticed elsewhere.

Of course then you have the case of the Arsenal ‘divers’. Apparently our players dive a lot and we are seen by other clubs and fans as cheats in the game, ‘same old Arsenal always cheating’ do me a favour. If there was a world prize for diving in football it would have to go to either Cristiano Ronaldo, countless La Liga players, United’s Nani or Chelsea’s Didier Drogba.

Against Leeds in the F.A Cup a few weeks ago, Theo Walcott dived. The 20-year-old admitted a day later that he did in fact tried to cheat, this isn’t on, but at least he had the decency to publicly admit it unlike others. How many times have we seen Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba, Jermain Defoe, Nani and others commit cynical acts and no one speaks of it? Why has Stoke boss, Tony Pulis, never spoken any good words about arsenal? Everybody cheats; unfortunately it’s become part of the game these days. However, it only seems news worthy when an Arsenal player does it and I’ve had enough of it.

Cesc Fabregas was accused of spitting on Hull city assistant manager Brian Horton in March 2009, an incident never caught on tape or seen by anyone. However, nobody heard of the Huddersfield player (can’t recall his name) who called Cesc Fabregas a ‘TIT’ on Twitter, where was the headline? How about when Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher chased down Howard Webb like a lunatic in December after refusing to award a decision United’s way, yet there was no headline or action taken against the Scotsman.

Arsenal fans are accused of being over paranoid, talkative and very augmentative, but who can blame them when their team receives a majority of the bad PR.

Arsenal are the most victimized team in the premier league. Just look at the Newcastle game. Phil Dowd is not fit to referee in general. After that performance he should be fired, or at least relegated to league 2.
