Arsenal will make a second attempt to sign striker Alvaro Morata in the summer, according to OK Diario. The Spaniard returned to Real Madrid from Juventus on a buy back clause last summer but the Gunners and a host of other clubs were also tracking the 24 year old at the time.

Both Real Madrid and manager Zinedine Zidane are believed to be very happy with Morata’s performances since he returned to the Bernabeu but the Spanish publication is reporting Morata is unsettled because of his lack of starts.

Zidane still prefers Karim Benzema to start up front in important matches and Morata has been restricted to ten starts so far this season. He has however scored nine times in all competitions for the Spanish club.

OK Diario say that the player will consider his future more carefully in the summer as he seeks to become Spain’s first choice forward for the 2018 World Cup. Arsenal and many other clubs will be monitoring the situation.
