Arsenal take on Basel in Switzerland in their last Champions League group game of the season, hoping they can still finish above Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners have already qualified to the knockout stages of the competition but can still finish on top of PSG if the French side somehow do not pick up all three points at home against Bulgarian minnows Ludogorets tomorrow night.

But Arsenal fans will be more realistic than optimistic and hoping that no players pick up any unwanted injuries more than anything else.

Basel on the other hand have more at stake than the Gunners. The Swiss side can clinch Europa League qualification, but they must better Ludogorets result in France. If both games end up a draw, then the Bulgarian side would finish in third as they have an away goal against Basel.

Arsene Wenger and co. will do their best to bag all three points in Switzerland tomorrow night and hope, by some miracle, that PSG slip up.

There are no new injury concerns for Wenger, and Olivier Giroud is expected to return to the squad having missed the West Ham game over the weekend with a slight hamstring problem.

With this in mind, what starting XI should Wenger field against Basel?

I’m being more realistic than optimistic, so I believe this is a chance to perhaps rest one or two players.

Here’s the starting eleven I hope to see take to the field tomorrow night:
