Speaking to the Arsenal Player on the club’s official website summer signing Shkodran Mustafi has outlined what makes his team-mate for club and country Mesut Ozil so special.
Mustafi has been quick to settle in to Arsenal’s back-line and was speaking after he helped keep a clean sheet in the Gunners’ Champions League 6-0 win over Bulgarian side Ludogorets, a game that saw Mesut Ozil take the match-ball home for scoring a hat-trick.
And, speaking after the game, Mustafi said this of his compatriot: “He has the qualities. He sees his team-mates, he sees all the runs, he has quality on the ball. His passing, his left foot… I think he has all that you need on the pitch. So yeah, that’s what makes him good. And then scoring three goals in a game just shows how good he is.”
It was a confidence-boosting and convincing victory over the Bulgarian champions and the result leaves Arsenal looking in a strong position for qualification into the knockout round of the competition.
With PSG also winning last night it could come down to the game at the Emirates between the two sides to decide who gets the important top-spot in the group with the game set to take place on 23rd November.
