Quoted by Talksport, Theo Walcott thinks Arsenal are now well-placed to win the Premier League this season.

The Gunners are currently second in the top flight with Manchester City and are only behind on goal-difference after extending their winning run to six games by beating Swansea 3-2 at the weekend.

Walcott himself scored twice in that game with Mesut Ozil grabbing the Gunners third and the England international now thinks after that result and the late win against Burnley the club can challenge for the league this season because of a renewed ability to win tight games:

‘The Burnley match was a game where we had to grind it out. This game[against Swansea], when we went down to 10 men, we tend to lose, to be honest. There’s some things that are slowly getting better.’

The winger then added about the chances the side have of silverware:

‘With the squad we have, if we keep players fit, with players coming back, then who knows.’

Walcott has scored seven goals and added a further two assists this season in all competitions and has been a regular in the Gunners line-up.

Premier League duties now take a back-seat with the return of the Champions League this week and the Gunners will be hosting Ludogorets on Wednesday night.
