‘Arsenal? They would suit me’

|

gonzalo higuainSome good news for Arsenal fans that rate and want Gonzalo Higuain to join the club this summer – the Argentine striker has declared The Emirates would be his preferred destination.

Last month, the Real Madrid hierarchy stated that the 25-year-old will be sold and it was even suggested that he was on his way to Serie A champions Juventus.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side look to be in pole position for his signature, as Higuain recently said:

‘There have already been offers and I hope that Madrid do the best for me and themselves.

‘Arsenal? They would suit me, I’m still young and I have goals.

‘There are many possibilities. I want to go to a league where I’ll be put to the test.’

Despite netting 19 goals for Real this season, Higuain has been playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema and the French striker looks to be more valuable to the Spanish giants than the Argentina international.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of striking options which include Stevan Jovetic and newly Wayne Rooney, but surely they will be prompted to make a move for Higuain, who could cost them between £20-25 million, after the player’s latest comments?

Hopefully Wenger acts fast and if interested in Higuain, makes him his second signing of the summer.

Back up for Giroux?I think they could develop a good partnership and Higuain knows how to score goals.Rooney is not us and we are not him so leave him to someone who’s stupid enough to pay his wages.Ps with all these rumours of forward players I hope that thought is being given to the overall balance of the first eleven
