Arsene Wenger recently stated he has no plans of signing Arsenal great Thierry Henry on a short-term deal during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
The 34-year-old striker, who left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2007 after becoming the clubs record goalscorer during his 8 years in North London, is currently training with his former club following the end of another MLS season, and will remain at the Emirates until February.
However, despite Wenger’s pleasure at having Henry back at the club once again, the Frenchman has given no thought about a potential short-term deal for the legendary striker in January:
‘I have not thought about that at all. At the moment we have a big squad and anyway, that problem cannot examined before the end of December.
‘At the moment we have 26 outfield players so we have a massive squad.’
The Gunners chief added:
‘Thierry’s future is in the [United] States. He is going back in February. Until then we will just help him to practise and keep fit.’
Just sign the man Wenger!!!
