Antonio Pedroza Whitham – A £5M bargain for Arsenal to ponder?

|

It’s Chester born Antonio Pedroza Whitham who has been compared to the ‘little pea’ due to his height and his fancy footwork on the pitch.

Whitham moved to Mexico at the age of two and now as a 20-year-old leads the line for Jaguares in the Mexican premier league.

His recent form has caught the eye of Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham and Roma.

It is also believed that Brian Eastick is looking to include him in his Squad for the England U’20’s World cup in Columbia this summer.

The front man who has the nickname ‘Rooney’ because he is English (strange one I know), has admitted he would jump at the opportunity, if his country of residence didn’t get there first.

Surely if Mexico don’t snap up the chance for him to represent them, (Mexico are also in England’s group) then how is he possibly a hot-prospect for the future?

Whitham is said to have trained with Arsenal and Chelsea in the past, and sources at Sky Sports have indicated he is set for talks with a Premiership side, thought to be Fulham.

Should Arsenal consider snapping up this youngster during the summer?

Here is a very short video of Pedroza:
