Arsenal have reportedly tabled a £45.8million offer for Dusan Vlahovic, but the player’s representatives are stalling on the potential deal.

The Gunners are in the market for a new striker after the club have given up on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and are willing to listen to offers for the Gabon international, while Alexandre Lacazette’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Vlahovic has been in superb form for Fiorentina this season scoring 16 goals in 19 Serie Appearances so far.

The 21-year-old has also reportedly attracted interest from Juventus, Tottenham and Manchester City following his form this season for the Florence club.

Reports in Italy have now claimed that Arsenal have already made their opening move for Vlahovic by submitting a player plus cash offer of £45.8m and Lucas Torreira, who is currently on loan at Fiorentina.

But according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who spoke to Sky Sports Italy, Vlahovic;s representatives are holding out for a bigger offer from a club who are in a better position to immediately win trophies.

Di Marzio went on to say that the striker’s representatives were not even returning Arsenal’s calls a few months ago despite the Gunners being the only club who have registered a strong interest in him thus far.
