Reports in France are claiming Lyon are now prepared to lower their asking-price for Houssem Aouar which will please Arsenal.

The Gunners wanted to sign the 24-year-old last year but their £32million offer was turned down by the Ligue 1 club.

Lyon were looking for a fee in the region of £55.5million, while the midfielder himself was targeting to move to a club who were playing in the Champions League.

Last month there were reports suggesting Lyon had dropped their value of Aouar to just £25million, while the Gunners were considering reigniting their interest.

But RMC Sport now claim Lyon are now actively looking to sell Aouar before the transfer window closes and the French club would even be willing to reduce thier asking-price further.

Lyon’s sporting director Juninho is reportedly not too happy with the ‘attitude’ of the dressing room and is ready to fix the problem by offloading several first-team players which include five other players plus Aouar.

Arsenal have managed to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid after spending last season on loan at the Emirates. But the potential inclusion of Aouar would certainly add more depth and creativity in Mikel Arteta’s midfield ranks.
