Some Arsenal fans have been left in bemusement hock after Mesut Ozil tweeted out about the US presidential elections.
In a post on his Twitter account, the German asked his followers which of the two main candidates, Joe Biden and Donald Trump, they’d choose.
The move comes amidst an increase in activity on the playmaker’s social media account with Ozil having been regularly tweeting during the course of fixtures in the last few weeks.
Ozil was famously left out of the club’s Europa League and Premier League squad at the end of September by manager Mikel Arteta.
He released a statement claiming he was disappointed, but, would still continue to work hard (via NBC Sports).
Arteta commented on the decision by claiming the former Germany international was given ample opportunity to prove himself ahead of the deadline for deciding the squads (via Sky Sports).
