Arsenal only want £10million for to help raise transfer funds this summer.

The 31-year-old Armenian has spent the season out on loan at Roma and will have just one year left to run on his existing Emirates deal.

Roma are keen to sign Mkhitaryan on a permanent transfer and have even discussed the potential of a player-plus-cash deal.

However, it seems Arsenal have dropped their asking price to just £10million in hope of raising transfer funds for to spend on new recruits.

Although Arteta and the board see Mkhitaryan as a ‘good player and character’ and would welcome him back into the fold next season, its understood that they would also be willing to move him on for the right price this summer.

Mkhitaryan has previously expressed his desire to stay at Roma after enjoying life at the Stadio Olimpico this season but the Serie A side believe Arsenal’s valuation of the player is still too high for them to push forward with a move.
